This celebration of natural splendour includes many bogland plants which have adapted to an anaerobic acidic environment as well as many rare and threatened butterflies, moths and birdlife – including the Skylark and Meadow Pipit. Please be aware though: this route is not suitable for buggies. New Forest, located just 4km from Tyrrellspass is a beautiful Irish country estate dating back to the 12th Century, full of history and character. Within the estate you will find New Forest Golf Course, one of Ireland’s top ranked championship courses, Courtyard Lodges providing luxury on-site accomodation, the New Forest Restaurant, one of the midlands premier restaurants and a gold academy, with a 300-yard floodlit bay and short game area.
